Default Getting Started guide

Hey guys,

I've thrown together a quick "Getting Started" guide on how to download the latest SVN source of shorthike so you can compile your own.

http://www.shorthike.com/trac/wiki/GettingStarted

So now, you have no excuse.

Please let me know if it doesn't work for you, so I can change it (I've tested it, but I can't cater for all setups out there).

Enjoy.

Cheers,
LuckyPhil.

Fantastic! Great work!

Hmm. The repos size looks quite big, maybe it would make sense to split the Digital Mars compiler and other tools into a separate download. I would like to get rid of the Cygwin dep as well, I remember seeing a bunch of win32 tools we could use for it instead.

/me would still like to have less dependencies to lower the hacktivation energy!

Sorry for the lateness in my reply (computer repairs).

I think it would be a good idea to seperate the D compiler from the repository, mainly due to size, and the compiler is such a moving target.

I'm happy to write up a 'how to setup your development environment' to take this into consideration.

Cheers,
LuckyPhil.
